1 color & 2 looks

I stumbled across these two beautiful cocktail dresses which undeniably have the same amethyst color, yet have completely different looks. I tried to pair each dress with some accessories that best complete the ‘picture’ and provide inspiration for those of you who are deciding on how to outfit your bridesmaids.

1 color & 2 looks

The first look is our ‘sweet & pretty‘ look which is grounded by the velvet black and purple gown by Badgley Mischka . Pulling out some inspiration from the black velvet in the gown, I chose a black velvet peep-toe shoe from RSVP and a clutch labeled “BJuliet” by Steve Madden . To match the shiny rhinestones on the belted bodice of the gown, I chose simple 14karat white gold solitare 0.05 carat earrings from ICE .

In the same amethyst color, this Marc Bouwer “Glamit!” wrap dress immediately exudes a “sexy & fun” look for your bridesmaids. I chose accessories in black that would match the black stoned empired belt on the dress along with yellow gold tones. The ring is by Juicy Couture (R-Cameo) and the 2.5 inch heeled leather sandles are a great deal from ALDO . To complete the look, I paired the outfit with a vintage-inspired “Carolina box clutch” by Jill Stuart which adds just enough glamour. The pebbled-leather box has suede banding and stud detailing complete with enamel-inlaid metal bands at front and back.

Not sure which look I would choose, but I’d probably side with the first one. You don’t want your bridesmaids looking toooooo sexy on your wedding day!
