Personal Update: Vancouver
Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting rainy Vancouver with my amazing friend Ashley for a measely 24 hours…ONE DAY! But it was probably THE most productive day because we were there to attend a letterpress workshop run by Manna over at Modus Press . I’ve been a fan of letterpress for a LONG time now and have been thinking of doing branching out to doing it here at home. It was a great opportunity for us to get our feet wet! And loved it we did. Sure, people question why we’re turning to an ‘old’ and ‘ancient’ way of printing, but it’s so thrilling to see the final product and the steps that went into it. Not to mention, the final product looks and feels quite different than regular printing.
Here’s some photos from Monna showing how the day went!
Our hand-printed greeting cards. My sock puppet monkey & Ashley’s cute, RED cardinal :]
A big thanks to Manna for showing us the ropes of letterpress. We loved it!
