Can you guess what the inspiration was for the above centerpiece that will be found at the upcoming Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Governors Ball?

The design inspiration is in fact Marilyn Monroe’s performance of “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” in the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. The tables are to be covered in ‘Schiaparelli pink,’ which was the color of Monroe’s famous gown. The centerpieces will feature pink roses in black vases with rhinestone bands around the base. Tealights will be placed in tall cylindrical vases filled with sparkling beads resembling diamonds.

This one table inspired me to find the perfect wedding gown, bridesmaid dress and rhinestone accessory for a wedding. Glamorous is the word that comes to mind when you put it together! It just shows that you can draw inspiration from events, performances, or celebrities when trying to envision your perfect wedding.
