Country Ranch Wedding by MJP Photography
We are loving the variety in weddings coming through our inbox as of late and today we’ve got a pretty ranch wedding held in Bethany, Ontario. Carolynn and Jason wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities and overall have guests feel a sense of warmth. What brought them together was their love of dogs (three!) and common music (Ray LaMontagne and Bob Marley) and similar family values. Their sweet wedding was captured by MJP Photography and planned by Planned Perfectly .
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
Definitely the first moment we shared as husband and wife. When we walked back up the aisle with the bagpipes playing and all of our closest friends and family following us up the long tree-lined driveway towards the barn– that was pretty magical.
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
We wanted our wedding to represent us, and we fell in love with Iron Horse Ranch the moment we saw it. We blended Jason’s Jewish traditions with my Scottish background- and everything turned out just as we planned! We didn’t want a specific colour scheme, so instead just picked colours that felt warm and represented us. We wanted our family and friends to look around the barn and say “that’s so them!”.
Do you have any advice for other brides-to-be?
Really make it your own. Make sure your personalities are represented in the details and it genuinely represents the two of you. Also, for us, our family was key. They understood our vision and were lifesavers in helping us execute it. Being able to let our personalities shine through made the day memorable and personal.
