Glam Persian Wedding in Mexico from Chris+Lynn Photographers
We’re going to end this fantastic week with an ultra glam Persian wedding held in the beautiful Riviera Maya. I always appreciate weddings with traditional ethnic ceremonies, and the pink and sparkle in this one just makes it that much better. Sepideh and Pooyan met through mutual friends, immediately liking each other from the first time they met. But she says it took some amazing cooking lessons before he could win her heart! Their beautiful day was captured by award-winning Chris+Lynn Photographers who love destination weddings and are based in Vancouver, BC.
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
I wanted to have a romantic and fun wedding; different from other events. I wanted my guests to remember this trip for years to come. The overall theme of my wedding was crystals and pink and white flowers. Our Persian ceremony was featured by “sofreh” or a spread which contains of items that symbolize things and each item was placed in plates that are made of crystals ( you can see them in the pictures). Our seating chart was also hung from crystals.
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
My favorite moment was when he had his back on me and I tapped on his shoulder to turn around and see me for the first time in my wedding dress.
I wanted the pink flowers to be on tall vases but the wind prevented that and we had to put flowers on plates on tables. We had a combination of round and long tables.
Do you have any advice for other brides-to-be?
My advice is to do what makes them happy and remember that this special day is shared for the bride and groom so they’ll be the ones looking at their pictures and videos years later so they have to make sure they are happy with everything and at the same time not to fuss about little things that no one notices but themselves.
