Charming Schoolhouse Engagement
I love today’s engagement session that caps off the end of a fantastic week. Sandy Tam Photography shares Ana & Kris’ session that’s a mix of both their interests and it’s too friggen cute to not share. Today is actually their wedding day, so congrats you two!
Says Sandy: It is a story about two people – one is a school teacher and loves her books; the other is in technology and loves his computers. With books and computers in mind, we set off to style a shoot for them that was a reflection of their fun and sweet personalities. A vintage school themed engagement shoot was created.
When Ana and Kris first found me, they showed me their proposal video. It brought me to tears. I fell in love with Ana and Kris immediately because of their great personalities and love for their families. We rented the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse, designated a heritage building that was established in 1848. We chose this building for its wooden desks and slate writing boards, which really brings you back in time. More importantly though, I felt the schoolhouse was a good fit for them because they are two very sentimental people. For colour, we filled it with little details such as the DIY flag banners, old textbooks, a world globe that marked their honeymoon location, personalized pencils with their initials and the Macintosh Classic (Kris’ favourite).
