Rustic Purple Wedding in Lake Louise
I thought I’d change things up today and share a wedding with some charming rustic elements. Kerry & Trevor’s wedding took place at Lake Louise, a location that I would consider one of the most beautiful locations in Alberta, if not Canada. Captured by the ever talented Julie Williams Photography , there’s definitely some details in the reception that you’ll get inspiration from. Enjoy!
I love the lights strung onto branches on the ceiling which not only add to the ambience but result in some fab pictures.
Says Julie (the photographer):
Kerry and Trevor planned their wedding to take place at the prestigious yet rustic Post Hotel in the village of Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. It had been a “big” snow year out in the area so there the lake was still frozen over and there was plenty of tall snow drifts around town, but the newlyweds were served up a perfect warm and sunny day. The ceremony took place in the hotel’s Library. The walls were lined with books and the couple stood in front of a cozy fireplace for their vows. Kerry had been coveting a rustic, woodsy cupcake stand and inquired with the hotel’s pastry chef about where she may find one. He couldn’t offer a suggestion, but he was able to construct one himself! The display was beautiful, and fit into the room so well. It was a small intimate dinner party. The room, however, was bursting with love and friendship – many of their guests had traveled from all over the world for the occasion. The Post Hotel dining room offered impeccable service and incredible food to their guests.
