Up and Away – Love Session by Kunioo
Speaking of Krista’s latest post about using balloons in weddings, you’ll love this next love session by Kunioo . Chad and Amy met on her first day of grade six (wow!). He was one grade higher and was her tour guide. “We rode the bus together, ride bikes in the cul de sac and caught frogs in the ditch together. Fast forward to 16 and we started dating. We’ve been together ever since. After 11+ years he finally popped the question.”
Chad proposed after making dinner on a Thursday night. It was St. Patrick’s day which is my favorite time of year. The kids in my class always call it St Fitzpatrick’s day after my last name :) He never cooks, ever. I didn’t catch on at all. He said he was taking care of me because I had spent so many hours on my report cards. He started rambling about something at the end of the meal and I told him to spit it out. That’s when he pulled out the ring. I was totally surprised which is hard to believe after so long. It was important to him that he surprised me after so many years together. I cried like a baby.
Our upcoming wedding has a vintage feel with modern elements. The ceremony is in my moms garden and the reception is at a heritage hall. All of the table decor came from my MOH grandmothers home. The pictures were taken at her old farm. She has saved everything for 45 years so we dug out all of the vintage glassware and old silver. The colors are white and grey with pops of green. I like the classic feel of crisp, clean colors and lines. We’re using a grey chevron print in some of the elements; invites, favor bags and bunting.
