Times-News steelhead fishing report for Nov. 5
A report from East End Angler, 4702 East Lake Road, (814) 898-3474:
In Lake Erie tributaries on the east side, perhaps the best news is coming from Four Mile Creek, which is loaded with fish. Anglers have had success with minnows, nightcrawlers and Crystal Spawn.
Seven Mile Creek is low and clear and not holding many fish. Twelve Mile Creek is low and clear but has a decent amount of fish. Anglers should try Crystal Spawn, skein and single eggs with a natural color. Sixteen Mile Creek has a few fish at the dam.
The news is mixed at Twenty Mile Creek. Anglers are catching steelhead by casting spoons into the lake. The fish are spread out in the creek.
The steelhead report is published daily in the Times-News during the fall and early winter.
