Simple & Elegant Wedding Inspiration from Epic Events

Vancouver planner, Briar of Epic Events shares with us some detail shots from one of her recent intimate weddings that was just full of beautiful details. I adore the muted color palette and personally believe that each floral creation by Balconi Floral Design are absolute pieces of art. In fact, the bride and groom told the florist to make individual floral masterpieces, so I guess they achieved it!

The couple had come to me asking me to create a simple yet elegant setting for their wedding. It was to be an intimate wedding (only 40 guests) but they wanted everything to reflect a high quality look and feel. We choose a muted color palette in blush, creams and natural dark wood tones to compliment the setting provided by the landscape.

For the ceremony space, we designed a rustic arch to be the focal point. The view behind was stunning, one of the reasons the location was picked in the first place, and we didn’t want to compete with that or take away from it at all.

We scoured local thrift shops to find perfect small crystal vases and candle holders to use on the dining tables. We gave the florists some key words and let them create the little masterpieces. The couple couldn’t have been happier with what Stephanie and her team at Balconi Floral Design created. Because all of the vases had been purchased, and were the perfect size, the guests we able to take them home at the end of the night.
