Romantic Engagement at the Kortright Centre
Ryan Van Der Hout of Luminous Weddings starts off our week with Amanda and Donnie’s unique engagement session inspired by the romance of fragrance ads. The couple were dressed in all black formalwear which juxtaposed perfectly against the rustic scenery.
Says Amanda: “Donnie and I met 7 years ago through mutual friends and we have been inseparable ever since. We share the same goals, values, and love of great food and wine. A month before our 6 year anniversary Donnie caught me off guard by planning a last-minute getaway to a romantic vintage hotel in Caledon, Ontario. While I was blissfully enjoying the countryside, I had no idea he had planned an unforgettable proposal with a beautiful custom -designed engagement ring.
We knew right away that we wanted to do a unique engagement session with a timeless and classic feel. I am a sucker for all things romance, and felt inspired by dreamy fragrance advertisements. Donnie and I absolutely love to dress up, and felt that black formalwear would look perfect when juxtaposed with the scenic woods and fields of the Kortright Centre for Conservation. Ryan Van Der Hout of Luminous Weddings encouraged us to bring our vision to life, and we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out.”
