I love showcasing weddings that are filled with do-it-yourself items. Not only is it helpful on the budget, but it really does add that personal touch. Jen & Sid‘s wedding was no exception, as they pulled off what was a very elegant ‘nature’ themed wedding. Down to the bouquets, boutineers, stationary, seating charts and table markers, Jen’s sisters & sister-in-law helped Jen get the wedding of her dreams!

First off, the ceremony.

Says Jen:

I bought several artificial trees and borrowed lots and used my christmas tree as well as 2 from my Mom to make my forest -decorated them with white lights only and bought lots of tulle for the snow on the ground.

On to the reception…

The green tea colored linens were paired with white chair covers and centerpieces were large cylindrical vases filled with brown pinecones and coffee beans. The similar designed stationary, seating chart and table markers were all made by Jen’s sister, who just so happened to be her wedding planner. I love how that worked out! Each table was named after one of the couple’s favorite cheeses.

Instead of a traditional guestbook, the couple chose to get guests to sign on around their engagement picture which was then framed for them to display in their home. Also sitting on the check-in table was a picture of Jen’s father, who had passed away.

Another nice touch to the ceremony was the monogram ice sculpture from Arctic Glacier that was a gift from Jen’s mother. For giveaways, Jen ordered coffee with pinecones on the package labeled “The Perfect Blend.”

Lots of ideas and inspiration for you brides out there!

Thanks for sharing your wedding with us Jen & Sid!
