Oil Creek Classic Fly Fishing Tournament June 5 and 6
The Titusville Rotary Club’s Oil Creek Classic fly fishing Tournament will be held June 5 and 6 at Oil Creek State Park. This will be the second year for this tournament being held near Titusville, PA. This year’s field will include 48 anglers divided into four categories. The categories for the Oil Creek Classic are Youth, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. The June 5 registration day will also include two seminars. Seminars on fly casting and fly tying will be hosted by Gary Kell and Ed Bartlett. Gary Kell is a Fly Fishing Federation Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor and Ed Bartlett is a well known local fly tier. The day of the Oil Creek Classic tournament is June 6. The tournament will begin at 8:30am and conclude at 5pm. There will be an hour lunch break.
The cost to enter the Oil Creek Classic is $125 per angler. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Titusville Rotary Club and the Titusville Middle School Wallops Island Project.
