Ashley Wright, of Centerville, shot the biggest buck of her career this month — a 14-point, bigger than most hunters will see in a lifetime.

“I was hunting with my dad and he had just left the stand to look for a doe that I had shot at earlier that morning,” Wright said. “I heard something to my right and I turned and looked and saw the buck. I saw three-up on one side so I thought it was a nice 6-point.

“After I shot it I got down out of the stand and when I got up to the deer I realized how big it was,” she said. “It was the greatest feeling I have ever had hunting.”
