We love Shannon Yau. She always shares with us the most awesome engagement sessions and weddings, with today’s love session is yet another. Meet Bobby & Krystal. They chose to do their engagement session out in beautiful Waterton, Alberta (and I mean, BEAUTIFUL) which just so happens to be a spot spot for them as it was where they first met. After years of being together at a distance, they’re now getting ready to tie the knot. Enjoy…

Says Bobby: “We met in Waterton park. I was working in the kitchen at Zum’s when I heard there was a new server arriving for the season. Krystal came through the back door to meet everyone. My first impression of her was that she was out of my league. As we got to know each other it was pretty obvious that there was chemistry. Things proggressed throughout the summer and before we knew it, we were boyfriend and girlfriend. As the season came to a close we knew the odds were stacked against us because Krystal had to go back to University in Edmonton (6 hours away). Even though it was a new relationship, we both had faith that we could make it work. A lot of people warned us both that long distance relationships are difficult, especially when its new. We got right into a routine of talking on the phone a lot and many hours of driving to see each other on the weekends. Since the restaurant was closed for the season I was able to spend quite a bit of time in Edmonton. The distance was hard, but we made it work and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Waterton will always be special to us for many reasons. Whenever we’re together in Waterton it brings back all the memories of the early stages of our relationship. We spent many late nights looking at the stars or sitting on the beach together. Sometimes we would just walk around aimlessly just talking late at night. Even now when the restaurant is open we spend a lot of time working together. Working together in Waterton is always fun because we got to know each other in that restaurant. Its where it all began.”
