The North Country Trail Access Area along US Route 6 In Mckean County
The North Country Trail is a roughly 4,600 mile hiking trail that stretches over 7 northern states. There is access to this trail in between Sheffield and Kane, south of Warren along US Route 6 (also known as the Grand Army of the Republic Highway), in Mckean County. Here you will find a well maintained hiking trail with stunning views of the Allegheny National Forest’s landscape, as well as outstanding recreational opportunities. The parking and camping areas on the south side of the road are marked. Generally, the North Country Trail is open to the public and free to use. Overnight camping and some day activities require a fee.
