Photo Essay: My Day in Central Park
Central Park in New York is full of amazing and fun things to do (most of them being free or cheap). I entered the park from 5th and 59th and decided to explore the park without a map or guided tour. While I have wandered Central Park many times, I often find new things that I have never noticed before. This is most likely because I am usually not aware of my surroundings when I go there, however, on this day I decided to pay attention, take notes, take photos, and really get to know a historical and popular tourist site in my own city. Note: If you don’t want to wander on your own, consider taking one of many free walking tours offered by the Central Part Conservancy. You can choose your tour based on your interests, such as nature, history, art, and more.
Note: This is only a SMALL piece of Central Park. There is a ton more to see here, zoos, castles, art, restaurants, shows, live street performers….
Entering the park at 5th and 59th. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott were actually having their caricatures drawn on this road when I walked in.
Duck Pond
This area (the Chess & Checkers House) is filled with Chess&Checkers tables. Good way to have fun with friends or meet new people.
