Not Goodbye!
A letter to DW:
As I sit down to write this letter, I can’t help but reflect back on my introductory post – which seems like forever ago! While most is still true, a few things have changed:
- I knew I had a strong passion, but didn’t realize I would continue to fall more in love with it daily.
- I have now worked alongside all of you amazing DC vendors and am constantly blown away by your talent, energy and creative minds.
- I knew I wanted to learn, but I now understand the importance of listening, emerging yourself and being overly eager to engage yourself with other like-minded people.
I’m not going to lie – I didn’t TRULY understand what I was getting myself into when Jeannette asked me to take on this amazingly fun load of responsibility with her. The past few years with District Weddings have been more than I could have imagined. The relationships made, late nights and early mornings, endless albums of eye candy + constant overload of inspiration are only something that can be enjoyed first hand.
It is with a full heart, I am excited to announce that my southern roots are calling me home. I will be taking off on two exciting new journey’s and I hope that each of you will follow along!
Thank you District Weddings, for allowing me to share my passion with all of you! To all of the creative individuals who make up this unbelievable industry – keep shining! You truly are all one of a kind. To my Occasions family, I do not have enough room to tell you how amazing you are, but you know I will write it in a book. Thank you for teaching me, emerging me and giving me wings! To Ms. J, thank you for this opportunity. You are my rock, my brain and my constant joy.
