Colourful Wedding in Edmonton
Good morning & happy start to your week! Today’s wedding will totally cheer you up. It’s filled with loads of colour, gorgeous centerpieces, making for an absolutely charming wedding. Melissa & Blain were total DIYers, creating their own placecards, seating charts & wedding programs, but calling upon Pink Polka Wedding Design to create their magnet invites (genius!). Rosella of Studio Bloom , who I absolutely adore, created individually gorgeous centerpieces in 6 different colours and this was mirrored in the bridesmaid’s bouquets. Says Rosella of Studio Bloom : It’s rare in the last few years to have a Bride embrace this kind of vibrant color, and it was a refreshing change. Having said that, I think the choice reflected her vibrant personality!

Their spring wedding was an explosion of color and Dawn has done a beautiful job photographing it. Melissa was the most organized bride I have ever met. She had Blain scouting photo locations a full year in advance, because she new she wanted something a bit urban and gritty for some of her photos. With 300+ guests, she and Blain worked out a budget and stuck to it. When we met for the initial consultation, she had a seating chart drawn up for me that was color coded to indicate which of the six colors should go on each of the tables at the reception. Her wedding invitiations were magnets which was genius – a great way to keep the big day top of mind for the guests! She had six bridesmaids, and each had a different color bouquet with a matching bloom for their hair, and corresponding boutineers for the six groomsmen. Melissa’s bouquet and her flower girl’s floral hand bag were a combination of all the colors.
