Bold Shells of Orchids

Ever since I met with a florist, I’ve been catching myself drawn to the ‘vase’ aisle of department stores, grocery stores, furniture stores….ikea you name it. It’s absolutely amazing what you can find out there and the selection itself can be extremely overwhelming.

So it was quite refreshing when I came across images of some interesting vase options from the recent MSKCC second annual Spring Ball held at the Plaza Hotel in New York. Ceramic cream-colored nautilus shells held an arrangement of green cymbidium orchids, calla lillies and balls of hydrangeas and would be perfect for brides who have a more unique touch to their centerpieces, along with an ‘art-deco’ feel to the reception.
