Remember eBay Bride??
When I got an email with last night’s wedding photos of bride Kelly Gray, publicly referred to as the ‘ebay bride‘, there was no way I would turn down sharing this unique story with you!
We all know weddings can cost an arm & a leg, so clever Kelly posted her last bridesmaid’s spot on ebay last June to help cover some of her costs. Believe it or not, Diet Dr. Pepper won the auction @ $5,700 and then doubled the donation to $10,000. Wowza!
The publicity of the auction helped Kelly win the support of local Virginia Beach vendors, so she had her bridesmaid dresses, jewelry, tuxedos..photography (basically everything) donated.
Any thoughts on this? I know I came across a bride on twitter from Eastern Canada asking for sponsorships. Everyone has their opinion on it, but personally, I wouldn’t be opposed to advertising a vendor for a donation – why not if it helps you pay the bills!
