Discover the history of the Great Lakes and listen to the tales of our region’s most notorious shipwrecks at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center (TREC). The Lake Erie Shipwrecks and Maritime Tales program is scheduled from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm this Saturday. No fee or registration is required.
Artifacts found at Presque Isle or recovered from the depths of Lake Erie are also on display at the TREC. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Erie Maritime Museum, and Pennsylvania Sea Grant are some of the organizations working together on this exciting new exhibit. The Great Lakes Shipwreck Exhibition features a showcase on the discovery, exploration, and preservation of Great Lakes and other freshwater shipwrecks. The exhibit will be available for viewing between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm daily on the second floor of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center.
