Gallery: Exploring Kangaroo Island, Australia
When I studied abroad in Sydney , Australia , my friends and I would often travel to other regions of the country on weekends and school breaks. One of my favorite places, and one of the most unique, was Kangaroo Island . You can get there by either taking a ferry from Adelaide or the Fleurieu Penninsula or taking a Regional Express (REX) flight.
A trip to Kangaroo Island is a retreat from chaos and stress. There are tons of nature-related activities, as life there is very simple and organic. You will experience animals, unique rock formations, honey, goat, and emu farms, and encounter a lot of friendly and nice people. For a better idea of what to expect, check out this gallery from my trip to Kangaroo Island.
