First-Time Camper Program offered
Pennsylvania State Parks and Gander Mountain have teamed up to offer the First-Time Camper Program. For $20 first-time campers can enjoy the great outdoors for a full weekend.Campers will receive two nights of camping, equipment rental and hands-on instruction on how to camp by expert state park campers. For a list of participating parks, who is eligible,gear provided, and what to bring, go to http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/stateparks/first-time-camper/ . It looks like Chapman State Park is the closest in nearby Warren County. All of the Pennsylvania State Parks are in beautiful settings and well worth the trip. You must call the participating PA State Park of your choice to make a reservation.
