Urban Romantic Wedding in Vancouver
There is something so utterly romantic about today’s featured wedding. Perhaps it’s the striking red lips of the bride or her beautiful and voluminous textured dress. Maybe it’s the loving way that the groom looks at the bride and their candid images captured by the photographer. Or it could be the beautiful glow of lit candles at the Brix Restaurant Reception. Either way, you definitely feel something when you look at the images. Captured by The Apartment Photography and planned by Filosophi Events , Sarah and Shawn “didn’t want the day to have ‘colours’ or a ‘theme’ but more of a ‘feel’ and a ‘look‘”. And they most definitely achieved that.
Says Erica of Filosophi Events : “Sarah and Shawn are a perfect examples of opposites attracting. Sarah is high-fashion, red lipstick and martinis while Shawn is baseball hats, rib dinners and beer. Their wedding at Brix was a perfect mix of urban elegance with amazing food and great guests. Sarah didn’t want the day to have “colours” or a “theme” but more a “feel” and a “look”. Guests were greeted with sparkling wine for the evening ceremony and loved the intimate setting that had been created in the Brix courtyard. Their ceremony was done in a circle style with only immediate family sitting and everyone else standing around them. The entire courtyard was filled with candles and white floral arrangements created by Evan at Flowerz and had a wonderful romantic glow. After the ceremony, the guests were brought in to the dining room which was again glowing with candlelight. The tables were simply decorated with candles, white flowers, mirrored runners and beautiful shantung silver linens from Pedersen’s Rentals. The room was modern, elegant and stunning all at once.
