“That Old Feeling”: 40’s Inspired Weddings
It was important to have a 40s-era “feel” but with a modern twist. The inspiration for the shoot was brought forth by Jimmy and Sonya Bender of Green Autumn Photography & Film, who in turn approached me; naturally, I was excited to be included in such an amazing opportunity, and quickly designed the inspiration boards – a romantic picnic for two with vintage linens, fine china, feathers, and bow ties, and with the addition of vendors and new ideas, things began to morph a bit along the way.
Part of that vision included an outdoor shoot with a period building and nature as the backdrop. Geraldo’s At LaSalle Park, with its beautiful grounds, served as the perfect backdrop to the intimate 40s-themed shoot, which was perfectly captured by Jimmy, Sonya, and Eeleah of Green Autumn Photography and Film.
The details play such a significant role in my work, and this shoot wasn’t any different. Inspired by the original vision, period photos, and elegant fashion, the beauty of this shoot would not have been the same without many wonderfully talented vendors, and of course the models! Thanks to the amazing team for trusting our collective creativity; we hope you love it as much as we do!
