South African Town Overrun By Unruly Penguins
While not many associate penguins with the African continent, the South African town of Betty’s Bay has become overrun with them. These hundreds of penguins, appropriately named Jackass Penguins, broke loose from a conservation area and are now settling in on people’s lawns and are turning their manicured lawns into dumps.
‘It stinks like hell,” Betty’s Bay resident Barbara Wallers told CNN. “We’ve got all the feathers and when the wind blows we get all the bloody rubbish blown into the house.”
