I am super excited to share the wedding of Mindy & Brian with you. This is a great example of how you can still have a stylish wedding and stay on budget.

Here’s some details from Mindy about how her wedding came about:

When Brian and i got engaged on Jan 1 2008 outdoors on a frozen lake, i knew that i wanted an outdoor wedding. i know that meant taking a gamble on good weather, but weddings should be exactly how you always dreamed! i spend hours on wedding blogs looking for ideas. Brian’s brother passed away a couple years earlier, so Brian wanted to wear a blue tux like his brother had to prom. I was NOT excited about a blue tux, so we compromised with a seersucker blue suit. the groomsmen loved that they bought a fun suit for WAY less that it would cost to rent a tux. The girls also got great deals on their jcrew dresses on sale for $60! i wanted to make sure that my bridal party was happy. i did all the planning myself and i had lots of help with decorating and putting together the invitations with family and friends. Because we were getting married outside in the summer, i knew that it could be potentially rather hot, so i made the programs into a fan with each “page” having a different part of the program on it. IT was a fun idea, but my hards were so sore from cutting out all 5 pages for each of the 200 programs! wow! good thing i had help. Because i had a really small budget ($6000) i DIYed alot of the wedding. That turned out to be more fun anyways, because when i look back at my wedding, not only to i just LOVE how it all turned out, but behind ever detail there is a memory!
