One week left in NWPA Outdoors Deer of the Year Contest voting

Just one week remains before the NWPA Outdoors Deer of the Year is determined.

Anyone can vote as often as once per day by visiting the Deer of the Year Contest page . Register with e-mail or your Facebook account and vote for your favorite Deer of the Month winner from the past four months. Voting closes Feb. 18 at 11:59 p.m.

Four bruising bucks are up for the award:

1. October: Bruce Stevens, Lake City, 12-point.

2. November: Dan Rensel, Erie, 8-point.

3. December: Shane Weed, Union City, 14-point.

4. January: Virginia Starr, Polk, 10-point.

The public vote and editors’ votes will be taken into consideration when determining the winner.

The grand prize is a Pelican ProGear S140 Sport Elite Tablet Backpack valued at $216.
