Need something to brighten your day with all this sad, cold weather that we’ve all been experiencing recently? Today I’m sharing a fresh and vibrant wedding captured by Rhythm Photography that was a combination of the bride and groom’s favourite colours: lime and teal. Angie and Evan’s wedding was held at the beautiful Toronto Botanical Gardens, complete with DIY terrariums as centerpieces and beautiful succulents in the bouquet and boutonniere. Love!

Aspects that make this wedding unique: The wedding was brightly themed around the couple’s fun-loving and bright personalities which are illustrated through the colour combination chosen: his favourite colour is lime green and hers is turquoise. Most of the wedding was DIY and entirely planned and curated by the bride, who is an avid gardener. The garden theme can be seen in everything from the hand engraving of vines on the bride’s engagement ring, to the terrarium centrepieces, the succulents in the bouquet, the flowers hand sewn into the hem of the bride’s dress, the floral designed cupcakes to the venue itself in the Toronto Botanical Garden.

Favourite wedding detail (favours, cake, food, band, etc.): The centrepieces! They were terrariums of varying shapes and sizes. The plants were grown by the bride and her friends, the glass containers sourced by the bride and her mother at second hand stores, the curly willow sticks were sourced from the bride’s mothers garden, and the whole lot assembled at the bride’s birthday party with her wonderful friends.

Other details of the wedding that is very special and unique to you two:
Friends and family of the bride and groom came together in a big way to make the day unique and full of really personal touches. Our friends hand illustrated the chalkboards, made the arbor, baked desserts, helped to put together the centrepieces, put together invitations, and decorated the venue with us. One of the bride’s Maid of Honour even made her veil and hand beaded it. As a result, the day was genuinely intimate and full of love.
