Exploring Colorado’s Small Town Art Scene

In Colorado ‘s small town of Grand Junction, there are many worthwhile activities for backpackers. One free and interesting way to spend a day is to explore the area’s outdoor art scene, also known as Art on the Corner. The program was started in 1984 by a local sculptor named Dave Davis, and continues as a year round free exhibit to the public.

There are over 100 pieces of art , including sculpture, mixed media, poetry written by children and interactive art, many of which can be seen via a walk along downtown main street.
