A Starry Alternative to Drink Tickets
Remember my dilemma about open bar ? After long discussions with family members, we settled on using drink tickets/tokens. But I wasn’t satisfied using just raffle tickets. So I DIY-ed my own.
I bought star shaped wooden chips from Michael’s for under $5 per pack of 130. For my wedding with 80 guests, I bought 2 packs. I also have leftover silver and purple paint (my wedding colours) from other projects.
So while we watched the 3-hour long movie “The Dark Knight Rises”, Stephen dabbed paint onto all 260 stars, on both sides! It took us almost the entire movie, but they turned out great – especially the silver ones.
The next step would be to wrap one purple and one silver star in tulle, and finish it off with a lavender ribbon. I need to make 80-100 of these!
