Oscar 2009 Gown Inspiration

Another awards show…another gown inspiration post. I can’t believe I actually sat through the entire show! I’m a bit sad that Mickey Rourke did not win best actor.

But I digress. I found the red carpet extremely wedding friendly, as it seemed like most of the ladies were set to walk down the aisle..light colors and white were definately in, as with many of the award shows this year. My favorite would have to be Marisa Tomei’s detailed gown. But that’s only because I like a bit of understated drama in a dress.

In an interview, Penelope mentioned she picked up this vintage gown in a shop after falling in love it 8 years ago. I can’t believe it was still there after all that time. She looks amazing.
