Contemporary Old Hollywood Inspired Wedding in Toronto by The Love Studio
I see a lot of weddings and there’s something to be said about keeping it simple and sophisticated with a contemporary flair. I just might say it’s one of my favourite styles of wedding. Captured by The Love Studio , Rachel and Neil were inspired by the Old Hollywood Supper Club and it’s glam in a quiet way. They used chartreuse throughout to complement their modern venue, Mildred’s Temple Kitchen in Toronto, an intimate setting to celebrate with family and friends.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding day?
The inspiration behind our wedding was Old Hollywood Supper Club. Neil and I love to cook, cocktail, entertain and laugh and that’s what we wanted our wedding to feel like. Great food and drinks and very intimate. A little bit of a throwback to a simpler time. We used chartreuse green throughout the wedding and invites as it felt like spring, the beginning of something special and is a happy colour for us.
Any favourite wedding moments?
Has to be our first kiss as husband and wife. I smile just thinking about it! And being surrounded by so much love from our family and friends over the course of our bachelor and bachelorette getaways, and my bridal showers as well as the wedding day. Thinking back to those moments, we both feel very blessed.
Any advice for future brides/grooms-to-be?
Advice for future brides and grooms would be to divide and conquer the tasks, and stay as calm as possible and enjoy the ride. As hectic as wedding planning can be, it is one beautiful day, but you have the rest of your life to be with the one you love. Keep in mind when you are making all those to-do-lists, that it’s just one day, and just remember to have fun and everything else will fall into place.
