Wedding Obsession at the Wedluxe Show Part I
When Angela, the editor-in-chief of Wedluxe , a Canadian luxury bridal magazine, invited me to their first show in Toronto, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. In addition to visiting and seeing the many fabulous Toronto vendors, it was an opportunity to bring the show to YOU, with snapshots and other tidbits you’d otherwise miss out if you couldn’t attend the show. I brought along our Ontario bridal blogger Krista and prepared ourselves to be wowed, expecting nothing less.
We met up with Aaron Kaufman, the owner of 5th Element Events in Toronto who was also the lead decor and A/V designer for the Wedluxe themed areas of the show. He took us on a tour of the Wedluxe booth, Kate Spade Lounge, Beauty Bar and Man Lounge which were all dressed to the nines and totally chic. He is, of course, absolutely genius at what he does.
Below are some snapshots from the day so that you can experience the event from my perspective. I’ll be sharing more images at the end of the week and early next, so be prepared for more inspiration. Excited?!

The entrance was definitely the showstopper of the day and the first thing you saw just before you entered the room lined with vendors. Ribbons were meticulously measured and cut to create an archway. Hanging on each ribbon was a single rose and the entire display was lit up with pink uplighting. I know you all loved it when I shared this on the facebook page, here’s a closer look.

Next is the Kate Spade Lounge which was, in my opinion, just the right mix of modern and French parisian chic. The decor was primarily black and white with pops of pink and red. Some of the tables were covered in gold sequined linens.
{image above: The striped black and white drape was flown in from New York. It definitely made a dramatic statement and separated the rest of the show from the area. Loved it!}
Hung on the white drapes were large signs in pink and white with cute sayings. “just say “i do!” or “take care of the luxuries and the necessities will take care of themselves”.

One entirely thoughtful ideas was the Man Lounge. No women allowed! Do you feel a bit sorry for men who are dragged into the sea of women at bridal shows? Well at the Wedluxe show, this room was prepared for the man in mind, comfy chairs, snack bar and TVs showing football. I showed my husband images of the lounge and he said he wished he could be there. Now that’s how you get a man interested!

The most popular spot was the Beauty Bar. Here, brides were pampered with the opportunity to get their hair and nails done. It was packed, as you can imagine!
Ladies were able to choose some stationery and makeup/beauty items at the bar, which were displayed on gold glittered trays.

And of course, I must share the beautiful Wedluxe booth which was entirely white and filled with acrylic, rectangular vases filled with pink peonies. Very pretty.
A big congratulations to the Wedluxe team – job well done! Come back tomorrow for more images from the show. And for those of you wondering, I’ll be sharing my visits to Lea-Anne Belter and Sarah Houston sometime this month. Stay tuned.
