Modern Wedding Cakes at the Wedluxe Show

There were definitely some absolutely gorgeous wedding cakes at the show. One of the trends I noticed was the use of white fondant on the wedding cakes with pops of color in the details, whether it be a band of ribbon or a large flower. I also noticed that scalloped detailing was present, a look that I absolutely welcome.

Below are just some snapshots of cakes that I came across. Of course there were many other cake vendors present at the show.

The Cake Museum fittingly showcased their wedding cakes on pedestals as though they were works of art (yes!). I love the modern style that they bring to the table.

I also enjoyed the cakes by Bobbette and Belle .

I know these next few cakes aren’t entirely ‘modern’, but they’re too pretty to ignore. Here’s a unique display by the Nadia’s Cake Creations . Each cake was hand painted and displayed in an ornate picture frame. Definitely works of art!

Lastly, how cute is this display by Cake Opera Co ? You can’t quite see it, but the pig has his mouth full of wedding cake which he took out of one of the cakes.
