Intimate Backyard Wedding
I seem to have a little soft spot for intimate weddings. Mary from Lavish is sharing with us Jodi and Mark’s backyard wedding in Calgary that shows us how even at a smaller scale, a wedding can still be extremely stylish and oh-so beautiful. The day was captured by the fabulous Michael Tallman .
Says Mary:
Jodi and Mark wanted a sophisticated, modern wedding with a few nods to the past. With the most beautiful venue – Jodi’s Aunt & Uncle’s house here in Calgary – we were able to help them create a relaxed, fun and intimate feel for their big day. Following a romantic backyard ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail and hors d’ouevres to the music of a local Jazz Trio, with lawn games for everyone to enjoy. Dinner was a cozy affair, with heartfelt speeches and an amazing dessert buffet. Mark and his family are from the US, so there was a lot of friendly banter between the Canadian’s and the Americans – several times, the Groom’s family broke out into “O Canada” during dinner!
