Beautiful Barn Wedding at Cambium Farms, Ontario
I’m always honoured when I get to share the wedding of someone in the wedding industry. Caryn, the owner and lead designer of As You Wish Weddings shares with us her September wedding that is utterly jaw-dropping. The gorgeous barn at Cambium Farms was transformed into a chic affair filled with neutral grays and gold for the bride and pops of peach for the groom. Caryn and Tony definitely succeeded in having their wedding to feel like an end of summer bash. This feature captured by Jessica Bossé Photography was probably in the running for taking the longest to put together because there were so many details that I didn’t want to miss. So inspiring!
Being a wedding planner, I love personal touches, and it was important to me that our wedding included many – my favourite being the tribute to my hometown of South Africa, which is also where were engaged. On the shelves in the barn we included photos we had taken from our trip the year prior, as well as DIY gold spray-painted “big five” animals. Our wonderful florist, Cedar & Stone, added beautiful protea flowers, which are indigenous to South Africa.
Entertainment was another top priority for the day, and we knew wanted it to be memorable and unique. Dueling pianos have been a long-time favourite of ours, and we try to visit a piano bar each time we travel. We are also lucky in that we are regular customers at a bar across from our home that features two talented dueling pianists, whom we now consider our friends. We were so happy they agreed to perform at our wedding, as they added an incredible amount of energy and fun to the party atmosphere, and were truly a highlight of the night!
