….okay, seriously, just be a guest. Here are a few tips to make sure you aren’t being “THAT GUEST!”
1. Don’t change into casual clothing halfway through the reception. The couple wants gorgeous photos of you in your nice attire. Sorry, if it is hot out, it is just a few hours…you can hang in there!
2. Don’t drink like you’ve never been to an open bar before.
It’s the most important day in the couples life, so far and you should behave appropriately.
3. Don’t steal the microphone if you haven’t been asked to make a formal toast. Share your feelings with the couple, personally.
Oh, and it isn’t a concert hall… If you are musically talented, then wonderful, record them a CD. If they have asked you to sing if they wanted to hear you that night, if not, Don’t.
4. Never assume you are invited to visit the bridal suite on the day of the wedding if you’re not her mom or a member of the wedding party. They are hiding out for a reason, to relax before the madness begins!
5. Do not criticize the décor, food, bridesmaid dresses or anything else about the wedding while you are at the wedding.
There is always someone listening! Everyone has different taste, a different budget and a different vision!
