NWPA Whitetails
Many whitetails in NWPA have been taking advantage of the growing season. It’s amazing how fast these deer and their antlers grow. Soon white-tailed bucks will rub the velvet from their antlers, while strengthening their necks. This is done in preparation for the rut. Changes can also be seen in younger deer. Fawns grow quickly during summer months and are beginning to lose their spots. It is a joy observing these creatures in the fields of NWPA. White-tailed deer are often creatures of habit and frequently return to the same areas.
