NWPA Pheasant Hunting

Mike Rutledge, of Edinboro, enjoys hunting pheasants. He has been having successful bird hunts in Erie County and shared a photo of a beautiful male ring-neck he harvested last week.. The current possession limit for pheasants is 2 birds until November 29th. Then the season will reopen Dec 15th-24th and Dec. 26-Feb 21st.

There are superb pheasant hunting opportunities in NWPA. The Pennsylvania Game Commission began releasing close to 20,000 male and female ring-necked pheasants on October 10th and will continue until December 19th. Specific release dates, numbers, and locations can be found at www.pgc.state.pa.us .
