This Saturday, July 4, is  Fish-For-Free Day in Pennsylvania. This will be the second Fish-For-Free Day for 2015.  If you haven’t  purchased a Pennsylvania fishing license yet this year, this is your chance to find out what you have been missing.

We have some of the best fishing in the state here in NWPA. From the great summer perch and walleye  fishing on Lake Erie, to the diverse fisheries of our inland lakes and streams, anglers can sample some excellent angling opportunities on Fish-For-Free Day.

Presque Isle State Park offers one of the most accessible fishing destinations in our area. The park is ranked in the top ten best places for family friendly fishing and boating in the United States by Take Me Fishing .

Conneaut Lake, a resort lake in Crawford County, offers great fishing with a fireworks display at 10:00pm on Saturday. Pymatuning Reservoir, also offers some of the best fishing in the region, and will have a fireworks display in the Jamestown area at dusk.
