Evergreen Outfitters Kicks Off The 2015 Season with Lake Erie Paddle
The EVERGREEN Outfitter’s Paddling season will begin tomorrow. Tuesday’s Paddle on Lake Erie will take a closer look at the Lake Erie shoreline with an awesome paddling experience. View waterfalls, wildlife, and an amazing sunset during this paddling adventure! Paddlers will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Barcelona Harbor. Some experience is required.
Meet at McCrea Point Park on the Outlet of Chautauqua Lake for EVERGREEN Outfitter’s Wednesday Paddles. This is a great program for beginners and those who enjoy a more relaxed pace. Meet at the store around 5:30 or at the park by 6:30.
Paddlers will meet Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA. Here paddlers can explore the Lagoons, Thompson Bay and the area surrounding Gull Point. Gull Point is a “State Park Natural Area” located at the far eastern end of the park. This area is closed to all foot travel from April to November and provides a safe haven for many different types of birds during peak migrating seasons.
The first Moonlight Paddle will take place on Saturday, June 6. Paddlers will launch from the Marina at Long Point State Park on Chautauqua Lake. This event is $25 if you are renting gear or $5 if you have your own.
Every Sunday this summer, beginning June 7, EVERGREEN Outfitters will tour a section of the New York State Lake Erie shoreline. This event is for experienced paddlers. Please call the store to sign up and for details.
