December Deer of the Month winner: Justin King
Congratulations to Justin King, of Waterford, the winner of the NWPA Outdoors Deer of the Month Contest for December 2015.
A photo of King’s 9-point received the most votes during the public voting period Dec. 23-31. The big buck, shot in Erie County, had a 20-inch antler spread and 4-inch brow tines.
King joins November winner Brian Kightlinger and October winner Shane Weidler as a finalist for the Deer of the Year Contest.
The entry period for the final monthly contest opened Jan. 1 and runs through Jan. 21, with public voting Jan. 23-31. Enter your photos at www.wordpress.com/deeroftheyear .
The four monthly winners will compete for Deer of the Year honors in February by way of a public vote.
Hunters who would like to share their photos without entering the contest are invited to do so at www.wordpress.com/yourphotos/hunting . Deer photos entered in the contest or uploaded to the Hunting & Fishing gallery could also be used as the Deer of the Day on the NWPA Outdoors blog.
