Cross Country Ski Introduction February 28 at Erie Bluffs State Park
An introductory program to Cross Country Skiing is being offered next Saturday, February 28, at Erie Bluffs State Park. Cross country skiing is a fun way to enjoy the NWPA outdoors in winter. This activity can keep you fit and allow you to travel areas much easier while the snow is still on the ground. A little fresh air while enjoying nature can bring relief from all the time spent indoors during the colder months. Erie Bluffs State Park, where the program will take place, is located off of Route 5 in Girard Township. This 587 acre park, along the Lake Erie shoreline, is the newest addition to the Pennsylvania State Park System.
The Cross Country Ski Introduction program will feature cross country skiing techniques and a two mile ski through the park. There are three one hour time slots for the program. The first time slot will begin at 12pm. The next two time slots will be at 1:15pm and 2:15pm. The program is free and open to the public. You must register for the program by calling the Presque Isle State Park Office at (814)-833-7424.
