Classic DC Elopement – Real Wedding of R + B
Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today, we are letting our real wedding bride, Rebecca tells her story since it is utterly different that most real weddings we share on DW! We hope you enjoy!
Having decided to get married in Beijing, China on June 7th, 2015, we wanted to do something small and intimate to celebrate our marriage in the United States with family and close friends. Though my parents were originally not expected to attend, my mother surprised us and was able to make the trip. With her traveling across the world to be a part of our American wedding and meeting Brandon for the very first time, along with relatives visiting from out of town, we wanted to do something memorable. We thought it would be a fun idea to get married at the courthouse in Washington, DC, where we would be able to do some sight seeing and with Christy’s help, take some beautiful wedding photos! Growing up in the capital of China, it was incredibly special that we were able to get married in the United States capital. We really love our pictures from Washington’s world famous scenes that are recognizable to our family and friends around the world!
One of the sweetest moments was when Brandon turned and looked at his mom right before him and Rebecca said “I Do” at the courthouse
