The Allegheny River is one of America’s cleanest and most beautiful rivers. From September 6th through the 13th,  volunteers will remove trash and debris from sections of the Allegheny River. The Allegheny River Clean-Up will include two larger tributaries in Warren County. The goals of this cleanup are not only to remove trash, but to promote stewardship and the spirit of giving back to the community. Volunteers who sign up will receive a canoe to assist in the cleanup. Jet boats will support paddlers and shore helpers will also be needed.

On Saturday, September 13th, volunteers will meet at Buckaloons Campground. Here they can enjoy a chicken barbecue, live music by the band Temple Grey, and free camping for all Allegheny River Clean-Up volunteers.

For more information and to register as a volunteer, please go to the Allegheny River Clean-Up website at http://alleghenyrivercleanup.com/index.html .
