Presque Isle State Park’s weekend events
59th Spring Cleanup
Saturday, April 11 from 8:30am to 12:30 pm
Meet at the Rotary Pavilion to join hundreds of volunteers for the 59th Spring Cleanup at Presque Isle State Park. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers and prizes will be awarded for the most unusual trash. Large groups can register for the cleanup by contacting bgula@pa.gov .
Abe Sorek Memorial Run 5k and 10k
Sunday, April 12 from 6:00am to 12:00pm
This memorial run, dedicated to Abe Sorek, will begin at Beach #1 at Presque Isle State Park. The proceeds from the event will go to stoptheviolence.org and the St. Vincent Lacrosse Team. Information on this event is available at www.eriedayschool.com .
Tracking Animals 101
Sunday, April 12 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Learn how to track mammals at this program being offered at the TREC. The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required and all ages are welcome. For more information, please call (814)-833-7424.
