Wanted: NYC-Based Blog Assistant [Part Time Intern Position]

I’m looking for a NYC-based individual to help assist in all operations of running an online publication/blog and affiliated walking tour company . The individual should have writing experience, a passion for social media and storytelling, and a creative mind for coming up with partnership and outreach ideas.

Pay: $8/hour + coffee + opportunities for bonuses and free perks. I’m also happy to work with your school if you’re looking for college credit. You will be paid via Paypal at the end of each week.

Hours: We’ll meet for 5-10 hours per week in a local coffee shop. Dates/times can be flexible.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Writing and editing stories with SEO in mind
• Engaging with social media audiences
• Procuring sponsors relevant to the intended audience
• Crafting collaborative content
• Link building
• Affiliate program outreach
• Promotion of our affiliated tour company and Etsy shop

Essential skills:

• WordPress
• Basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Writing/editing skills
• Well organized
• Social media

Knowledge of the following is a plus:

• Photography (if you’d like to lead photo tours for our company and earn extra money)
• Web and/or graphic design
