This figures to be an earlier than usual fly-fishing season for those who like special regulations areas. The Corry Higher Education Council and the Caldwell Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited will help give you a boost with a five-week fly-tying class starting in March.

Fly Tying for Trout and Steelhead will take place each Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., starting March 14 and running through April 11, days before the regional opening day of the trout season.

Instruction will be done in small groups for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Registration is $15, but free for those ages 10-15 who are accompanied by a paying adult.

Registration and payment are required March 7 by noon by calling the Corry Higher Education Council at (814) 664-9405.
